What We Offer

What We Offer

Our approach

Retirement can often be a challenging time and we have a team of specialist tutors who provide information and guidance about all aspects of preparation and planning for retirement and for other mid-life changes.

We aim to enable people to make informed choices about their future by providing relevant and independent information to promote good physical and mental well-being, positive relationships and strong social networks.

We run regular courses throughout the Greater Manchester area and are able to provide individual counselling, open courses and bespoke in-house training to suit the needs of particular groups and employers.”

Our Courses

In-House Courses

These courses focus on aspects of change as people enter retirement, and include sessions on finance, health, relationships, the use of time, and psychological and emotional adjustment.

We have developed considerable expertise in working with employers to organise and run in-house pre-retirement courses which integrate specific requirements, such as sessions on company pension schemes and retired employee benefits. Courses can run over one or two days, depending on requirements, and operate with a maximum of 20 participants.

Open Courses

We hope shortly to re-establish our open-to-all provision in central Manchester for private individuals or employees whose employer does not wish to offer an in-house course – please enquire for details.

Individual Sessions

For individuals do not wish or are unable to attend a group event, focussing on individual circumstances and needs.
Fees vary with course length and other requirements, and can represent a considerable cost saving where a group of employees are retiring at about the same time. Contact us to discuss your requirements.
Fees
1-day courses    £100.00 per person

2-day courses    £125.00 per person

Our courses address the details of financial planning for retirement (including the different types of pension, budgeting, taxation, investments and savings, sources of financial advice, wills, etc.) plus issues to do with health and well-being and the potential effects of retirement on relationships and lifestyle change.
