Self Help Groups Networking Event
The development of peer support self help groups - particularly ones based around a shared medical condition – is not new, but it is growing. Nevertheless it is often difficult to find out where groups exist and when they meet.
In order to share information and to raise their profile a networking meeting of over 35 Manchester based self help groups was organised by PRAGMA and held on February 24th, 2016.
If you want to know more about the kind of peer support that might be available to help you, or someone you care for, click on the link below, which will take you to the directory of groups that accompanied the meeting.

Sometimes it is hard to keep abreast of all the organisations and charities that provide support for older people. A networking meeting, held on 16th September 2015 brought together over 45 groups that provided a service in Manchester. The directory that accompanied the meeting, with details about the services and how to access them, is available through the link below. For hard copies please contact John Cotcher on 0161 817 2351. Copies and postage is free.

Societies Fair Directory of Exhibitors
For many people retirement affords the time to pursue an interest or hobby and to get involved in a local club or society.
In November 2014 PRAGMA held its first Societies Fair. Over 40 groups joined us in Manchester Cathedral and the accompanying Society Fair Directory of Exhibitors lists them all, telling you something about what they do and how to contact them.
There’s everything from bee keeping to science clubs for women, with Morris Dancing, chess, crafts, rambling, life long learning and much else in between. Have a look!
